Has anyone used D&H Build and grow? particularly on a youngster? I'm thinking about putting my 2yr old onto it.

i have used it with fantastic results but i would personally never feed it to a youngster as would not want to risk getting ocd

My poorly grass sickness boy is on it now I was recommended it by a lady on the yard with a cob - he looks fab on it. Wouldn't feed a 2 year old anything except haylage! They are better a bit ribby than the other way! Too much stress for their baby joints. All my boy got was a handful of D and H safe and sound or similar with a vit and min supplement in it - he is 4 now and only on lots of feed coz he's poorly x

Fab stuff - my mare was on it and it put a fair bit of weight on her. Where are you? I sadly lost her yesterday but have a bag thats only had 2 scoops out of it. More than happy for you to have it! Im near southampton.

Haha I did a post on this a couple of years ago and people thought I was a nutter! I fed it before it was branded and it was great for weight gain and shiny coat but I have no idea whats in it! Sorry pointlesss post but made me smile.

Percymum - thats such a kind offer, thank you, but i am literally at the other end of the country, in the Highlands of Scotland! I'm really sorry to hear you lost your mare.

Its interesting that some people seem to get great results and other don't. I'm really just looking for something to put a bit of condition on her, and a covering over her ribs - don't worry, i have no intention of having an overweight 2yr old, i agree this puts a lot of strain on their joints and development.

tikino - can you explain a bit more? is it this specific feed that bothers you, or trying to get her weight up in general? If its the feed, what is it thats in this one that causes the problem?

P.s - I've Just been kicked in the back - in a lot of pain, not trying to sound like a grumpypants, just very sore...
