D went for tests at the vet yesterday to find out why she has been suffering intermittent low grade lameness. Vet had been all for resting her and seeing how she went but I knew there was something wrong so I said I wanted a full range of tests despite the fact she isn't insured.
Nerve blocks didn't do any good but x-rays showed up really shocking foot balance. She's going in for remedial shoeing on Wed and then hopefully that will be the end of her lameness problems.
For all the things it could be I'm so relieved it's something that can be treated and not something we're just gonig to have to live with.
Feel a bit guilty that the poor thing has had badly shaped feet for years but have tried several different farriers and they all said that was just the shape her feet were.
Hoping we might be hunting by Christmas yet!
