Does a loose ring hanging cheek exist?

I am currently riding George in a dutch gag with the reins now on the snaffle ring most of the time and he seems to go nicely in it. If I understand correctly the action with the reins like this is like a hanging cheek, yet when I put him in a hanging cheek (exactly the same mouth piece) he doesn't go as well so I'm guessing he prefers the loose ring. My dilemma is that my instructor has suggested me doing a little very novice dressage test and the dutch gag isn't allowed - yes should have had this converation with instructor but um forgot!

Any ideas?

Don't think so, never seens one.

I would personally go for a plain old loose ring to be honest. The hanging cheek in my opinion does not mak a lot of difference.

I agree, I've gone from a gag to a loose ring snaffle and my horse goes beautifully in it. He likes the JP curved loose ring snaffle the best, but maybe that's just him!

I've tried a hanging snaffle and for us it was no different to said loose ring!
