Look at the EQ2

I want to know what it's like inside. I emailed Equiport fpr a photo of the inside and they sent me one which was small, upside down and fuzzy. I can make out saddle racks, do they have bridle hooks?
I'm assuming the measurments are in cm's aswell?

I saw them at a show last year. Inside had the bridle hooks on the doors, saddle racks were single pole type rather that the flat stubbs type, if you know what I mean. Expensive but they looked very well made, but I didn't go too close in case they tried to sell me one!!

No but I showed a pic to my "dab hand with a project" father in law and he made my sister and I one each. Admittedly they are made of wood not metal and I had to buy the saddle and bridle racks to go in each box but at a total cost of £50 each I thought it was worth it!

Only those metal lockers from derby house. Whatever I get has to be easy to move though and the lockers don't have wheels, thse ones do. These ones also have a handle (I'm positve they do) which means it can be chained to something.

Why don't you PM KarenX. I think she said her OH has the facilities to make more of them. I've seen the one he made for Sarah and it's good....very good ! I'm sure it would be a lot cheaper than the Equiport version too

Oh no!!!!!! Alert the emergency services and everything....

GM HAS A SUDDEN URGE TO TRY DIY CABINET MAKING!!!!!

*snigger* anything I make is guaranteed to fall to pieces, but a big tack trunk for the back of the truck would be FAB!

Hmmmm....

May try to rope daddy in... he's made flight cases and guitar cases before, I bet he can do these!!!!

I saw something at Floors similar idea but looked like a modifies wheelie bin, was very easy to move.

If it has wheels how will you stop theives taking the whole thing?

I have seen them at BSJA competitions...they are amazing but SOOOOO pricey!! Worth it though if you travel a lot.
Inside they are very similar to all the other tack cabinets with bridle hooks and saddle racks and I think those ones have a pocket in the door for grooming kit etc. They are very good.

Ours are old equiport ones they have saddle racks, bridle hooks and either a storage compartment on top or an inner shelf for rugs etc. they are brill if staying away for a long time but are quite hefty to put on off lorry.

I like the look of these things:
web page
They seem to be about £180 on the Ifor Williams website.
Interested in getting something like this as have tack in a shared tackroom & a lot of the other owners don't bother to lock the door (or sometimes even close it properly aaargh!).
