i was at a yard the other day(working) and one of the girls was useing this bedding, she spoke very highly of it and i just wondered if anyone else uses it as i do like the idea of it also its appears to be a good price

Our YO uses it and she likes it but I can't stand it! I find that my horses tend to push it around too much and go through to the concrete (even if you put a really deep bed in) and I also hate mucking it out as it clumps together.

Having said that I'm sure it's a matter of preference

I use similar, bliss and have tried sundown in the past, and have seen DD. I cant get it (DD) where I am, but I think I would use it if I could get it as its about £1.50 cheaper per bale.

I have just tried on 2 horses
1. Beddown original which is fine chopped dust free scented straw so maybe similar to DD? I wasn't all that keen, the pony ate it and its hard to muck out.

2. Beddown Excel- which is brilliant its a very light easy to muck out shavings/straw mix, Its smells lovely and my horse is a minger! but this is relatively easy to muck out compared to him on straw or shavings- also a little seems to go a long way.
I have rubber so only do half a stable as a bed but 2 bales made a soft bed with banks! I love it!

i used to use bliss bedding which was lovely and you can get it in lemony fresh!!! my friend used dixons and found it to be ok too. I used this style of bedding as my cob used to stamp and get v itchy feet on straw, was allergic to shavings and made the most horrific mess on paper. also had mats which makes all the difference!!

i was pleased with the results xxx
