The last few times the saddler has been out to check my horse she has suggested I take over changing the air myself as she says I am always spot on with what is wrong with the fit whenever she comes.
When she came last weekend I don't think she sorted the problem out in that the saddle is still sitting slightly crooked and one stirrup feels longer than the other (I have checked the leathers and they haven't stretched). Assuming that she doesn't have the time I would have to fiddle with the fit to get it perfect I am tempted to have a try myself but find the thought really frightening! What if I mess it up totally!
The problem is really with assymmetry in that she has one shoulder bigger than the other. I know she will need more air in diagonally opposing air bags to straighten the fit and bring the stirrup bars level again but is there more to it than this?
I just wondered if there is anyone out there that could give me some advice/moral support before I take the plunge.
Thanks.
