is it just me? or has everyone had a ride today?

ive got 2 to ride, though one is just gently hacking at the moment. Been riding both at weekends and one of them during the week as well.

Took one to our first RC 'party' - a flatwork clinic. He didnt disgrace himself *too* much

i was nervous as hell, as i knew noone, but everyone seemed really lovely and i didnt feel too much like a fish out of water.

Once i got home, mister went out to his field, then brought in mother mare for a quiet hack down to the local county park, except i nearly came a cropper due to our hacking companion reversing into us and me stupidly moving my leg out of the way, then my girl sensibly moving out of the way of reversing mare meant i was mostly hanging off her neck poor girl!!! she was lovely and quiet though while i scrambled back on top!

i still cant get over how those two are related - they really are chalk and cheese!!

So, what did you guys get up to today? any interesting stories???

I’m aching but that’s because I went hunting on Wednesday (4 hours in the saddle), did loads of gridwork and bounces jumping on Bodey yesterday and then today did a Mr Worried1 (on here) Dressage clinic. It was really good, have a look in comps if you want to know more.

Might hack tomorrow but if it’s too foggy thinking of going SJ-ing.

I wish i had time to ride.... I've got 3 to ride and 2 to exercise on the ground and no time for the next 3 weeks due to my School play... The joys of being a drama teacher, i'm in school every weekend at the moment for rehearsals... Need.. sleep...

I rode today, and did a route we havn't done for months......all on open fields.

She bounced around like Tigger - but wasn't pulling, just full of adrenaline. She tried every trick in her book, and it was so much fun.

I was grinning like a Cheshire cat when we got back to the yard and on a real high.

@JoBo: i think we both deserve a nice hot bath and a bottle of wine - sadly i have neither!

@suffolkangel: but you get the summer off! what i would give for that!!

im sure i could smell spring in the air today...mmmm

It's well deserved trust me... it's meant to be half term in two week and i'm spending 5 out of the 9 days in school... lol I love my job honest just missing pampering and riding the ponies.. lol

Well its not horse related but yes I ache....actually I look like I've been in a car crash, swollen nose and swollen black eye plus 4 stitches. I had a small tumour growth thing removed this morning and feel very sorry for myself lol. I thought the consultant was just going to look at it, instead he decided to do it there and then with a local anaesthetic. Worst thing was I had to come home and do the mucking out as I hadn't done it first thing

Think I had better stay at home tomorrow as I might scare people
