Apparently I am a natural at sitting trot, NEVER attempted it before and my friend/ riding instructor asked my to take sitting trot, so I did and waited for her to correct me like she usually does, nothing happened. I carried on and practiced nearly a whole test in sitting trot.

I then told her that I had never done it before and she nearly dies of shock and said it was almost perfect. Now this isn't blowing my own trumpet, I am genuinly proud as I am a little victories person.

I also recently broke my dressage record (62.5%) in a test with a 3 loop serpentine no less (never done one before either).

Yay me

Has anyone else achieved something special recently? We all go on about amazing competing, jumping etc and little but no less important victories out there?:)

Being able to pick rescue filly's front feet out without her cavorting all over the yard, going into orbit and trying to knock my head off, now THAT is a personal victory that's had me grinning all week. AND all done with out her being tied up. AND she actually offers me her foot. I've used capital letters because I'm so absolutely chuffed to bits. ...

Batgirl very well done on the sitting trot, brilliant!

Yep, me. Self employed with my OH, two businesses, generally a lot going on, and never enough time with the horses, so yes, I get excited about the small stuff. I get really pleased with my two year old lettimg me take the headcollar on and off easily (bit ear shy), the first time I put a roller on our homebred etc etc. Got to get the small stuff right before you can move on anyway!

Oh yes, I count them!
Mine was our mare finally agreeing to walk into the wash bay without a fuss, as she hates the hose. She still prances a bit, but hey, she's in the wash bay!

I absolutely count them Bat Girl. Self employed, been away from horses for 15 yrs, recovering from a serious illness, everyday I find something to celebrate.

BE PROUD AND LOUD, about your victories:D

i count the little victories, such as riding instructor telling me that to get the score i did at the weekends dressage comp is very good as they are harsh markers.

also being offered to ride other peoples horses and being told that im a good rider and could get on pretty much anything and id get along with it and improve with it.

dont want to sound big headed but im proud of being told this as i normally lack confidence in my riding when i watch others

My home broken 5 year old will rein back beautifully off a weight aid whether in a head collar or bitted :D And he worked so hard this evening - with some nice points in our little session :)

The yearling's being sweet and J's always the perfect gentleman so I have no complaints :D
