Does anyone else feel guilty going on holiday ?

Off to Scotland for 11 days and I feel so guilty leaving my boy behind, he's on full livery in a lovely yard and will be well looked after but I'm gutted !

Here he is in the sunshine this evening after a nice little stroll around the yard - at 45 c it was too hot to go for our usual hack in the desert !

Lovely picture, but just to add to your guilt, he's standing there looking like an orphan with a 'don't leave me' expression.


Seriously though, I'm away for a few days and then going on holiday soon after. I don't feel too guilty though, partly, because the horse's will be well looked after and partly because even servants need a bit of rest and recuperation. Although my horse's probably wouldn't agree.

Ha I know ! I think I added insult to injury as he only got carrot tonight - I had no apples left. That and I took Krispy Kreme donuts up to bribe the grooms and he obviously thought the big box was goodies for him
