I meant to post this last year but didn't, and then thought it was bound to get better by this year - but no such luck.
What part of 'do not show this again' does it not understand?
Why am I constantly asked to subscribe now, when I've had a subscription for ooooh, 20 years?
Why does the Ad that obliterates the top of the page, only have a view offer link and not a close link?
WHY, WHY, WHY do we have to have the magazine rammed down our throats.
GIVE IT A REST H&H Web team. You're putting me off the site.
If someone in the Display part of the web team is reading this - I'm viewing in Google Chrome - you might want to take a look - the banner at the top of the page that advertises Olympia with H&H ads either side - the H&H ads are too low in the space and you can't read the bottom line - also this space generally looks terrible, often with overlapping ads (I know because I used to work for an insurance company and sometimes the network gave us this space. We complained endlessly because other ads for IPC came in over the top of our ad - really, really poor)
It is really bad practice not to have an 'x' to close an ad as intrusive as the popup that keeps appearing - I don't care if it does on other browsers, it doesn't on Chrome.
The banner at the bottom of the page - If you have an option that says 'don't show this again' then make sure it works. No, I don't have extremely high security settings, neither do I routinely clear cookies.
Anyhow, rant over. I shall return after Christmas when all this ad silliness is over for another year.
