that if you have a lorry/trailer, people almost expect you to run around after them?
A girl i used to part loan my mare to just messaged me asking to pick her up from her stables where she loans another horse, and then drop her back afterwards so she can come to a show at my stables. Firstly, i'm team chasing that morning anyway, secondly, it takes her about 10-15 minutes to hack to my stables and thirdly, i dont pay to run a lorry to pick her up - i dont even really speak to her anymore!
I would happily take anyone to a show with me, if they pay towards fuel. I would happily take someone from my stables that i dont really know/like if there horse urgently had to go to the vets, but i don't buy a lorry and pay insurance, mot, tax, fuel and repair costs to run someone else around. She didnt even ask nicely - not that i would of even if she had!
If one of my close friends wanted to go to a show or somewhere that i wasnt going to and they couldnt get there otherwise, i'd take them if i was free but they're my friends so its different.
I dont even keep my lorry at my stables so for me to give this girl a lift to save her hacking all of 2 1/2 miles, id have to drive to pick up the lorry, collect her horse, load all her tack in as well, drop her at my stables, unload horse and tack.....wait for her to do whatever, and work doing my horses around her, and then load her horse, load tack, drop her horse off, unload tack and then drop my lorry off and collect my car, all after i've done it with my horse in the morning for team chasing.
