Does anyone else have a dog that likes fireworks?

Lucy absolutely loves them .. hears them and goes running to the window to watch or wants to go out in the garden. Had a few go off when we took her out trick or treating on Halloween very close, and she was quite happy stood there watching.

Was dreading it as we have loads round here and B was traumatized for weeks every year but apparently have nothing to worry about :D

None of mine have ever minded it, but when I lived in Edinburgh city center we had the fireworks during the festival at the end of each tattoo and then hogmany, and then many at this time of year. One of my minpins used to love being out in the garden watching them.

There are a couple of large displays in a nearby city that can be seen from your bedroom window. My dog loves watching them too and when my kids were smaller we’d all gather to watch them. I don’t think she’s a huge fan of the noise though although isn’t scared. We had silent fireworks at the field once and she was fixated by them and wagged her tail every time one went off.

My 3 arent bothered by them, I think the younger 2 have taken their lead from number 1 spaniel and dont really bother. They will happily go out into the garden and watch them. The only issue I have is that if we get lots of loud banging and cracking they will bark if they cant see where its coming from! I do feel for those who have scared dogs, our previous springer was quite a nervy little dog and fireworks sent her running behind the sofa :(

There was a big display near here on Thursday night. Aled hid behind the sofa, but when I went in the garden to watch them, Luna came and sat beside me and watched them. The cat and the horses have never been bothered by them.

Aled doesn’t like thunder or gunshots either. If he comes up the horses when the shoots are on, he won’t get out of the car. (I don’t take him now I know that).

quite a few around here tonight and my dogs are just snoring away, ponies not bothered either, too busy munching :)

Loads around me tonight including 2 massive displays - Mr Spaniel isn't the least bit bothered! One display we watched from the yard, it's a super display every year and a bonus we get to watch it for free! Little Spaniel sat quietly beside me until he got bored and went to sleep on his blankie and now we have bangers, rockets and wizzy things going off like WW3 and he's sparko at my feet as per usual!!

I really do feel for those who are terrified of them though.

Mine snored through it all last night - and there were a few displays going on around us. The wee man who is 10 months old now - ran to the window and had a wee bark. I took them outside and threw the ball for him and he quickly forgot about it. Came inside and I had two snoring on my lap and a third snoring in his usual bed in the kitchen.

I used to have a flatcoat that loved them. She would ask to go in the garden and she would sit and watch.
Where I live now, we don’t hear fireworks so I don’t know how the current lot would react but I can’t imagine they would mind bangs.
There are SO many dogs that hate them though, so sad.

My BIL used to have a boxer that loved sitting out in the garden with all the fireworks going off around her. Wish my springers were better with them.

Ours is an old man now with very little hearing, but he's never minded fireworks. One of the other dogwalkers this morning told me her dog sat in the garden and watched them!

My dog used to run around garden barking and growling up at the sky every time there was a bang. He wasn't scared he just turned into Mr Angry :) Horses were ok last night although one of them was edgy and box walking. Always relieved when bonfire night is over. I feel for all the animals who get terrified, can't be nice for wildlife either.
