Being the only person on the yard?

Its nice to see and catch up with people at my yard, don't get me wrong (I don't really dislike anyone).
But i have to say, i do love being up there alone, pottering about on this large yard on a sunny afternoon, no one else at all.
I dont like it so much at 5.30am of course, but during the day, it can sometimes be rather nice

Anyone else rather enjoy a deserted yard sometimes?
 
I deliberately got up earlier than I had planned this morning and decided to go straight up and hope that no-one else was there. It was so peaceful, and all the horses were happily in the fields, it was so calming, then went out for a hack and because the roads were quiet too it was so nice to just be lost in my own thoughts with just my horse for company.
 
A novelty in the reverse sense for you both then

OH and I usually have the yard to ourselves during the day, when he goes off teaching I am on my own, its lovely, but just after 5pm the other liveries start arriving after work and the yard becomes really social so have the best of both worlds
 
I'm the only one at my yard too...although I do have daughter, son and OH for company, sometimes!!!

It's lovely when it's peaceful, and there's just the horses and dogs, especially very early on a summers morning!!! Bliss!!!

Occasionally it is nice to talk to others though!!
