Dont know about anyone else, but for years i have tried to develop a method of not loosing a bucket load of feed onto the floor. I just cannot manage to hold onto the 20kg bag of dengie original, and shake into the dustbin without loosing a load on the floor. There are at least 3 dustbin fulls in every compacted bag and I really dont want to buy one of those huge metal bins.

I even wrote to them to ask them to increase the plastic at the top of the bag (due to manufacturing issues they cant add in anymore plastic)

what does eveyone else think - or am i just a numpty?

they have started making them a bit easier, but there still seems to be a whole load of the old style around. ive had a few of the newer design and its much easier

If you're a numpty, I'm the queen of numptiness.

Do it with every single last feed bag on the earth, regardless of the make

not sure about the packaging but I find it's almost impossible to get the Alfa-A Oil out of the bag- it takes ages cause it's so well compacted in!

He he he I can just imagine you all cursing with alfa A all over the floor!!

My metal bins will hold a bag easily and I just slice the top off. No spillage. Sorry but now you can all cuss at me.

agree with erc it took 2 of us to get the alfa a oil into the bins yesterday and we still spilt some!!! they must get the award for most unpractical design

I'm finding that when I pick a sack up, the joints at the top where the sack has been closed tend to pop open. I struggle getting the stuff into the bin as well.

How big does a bin have to be which will hold a whole sack?

i open mine all the way across, then lift it on to the bin next to the one i'm putting it in then hold the top of the bag shut and let it fall out the bottom bit of the hole then just kinda of shake it in the bin!

Not very technical im afraid!
