I saw that too - chasing points I think.

I have entered my lad for his last two competitions of the year 5 days apart and I am thinking of withdrawing from one of them although I'm sure he will cope - not sure I will though

Too much IMO - saw someone else had done a PN Event on a Sunday and a different one on Monday on the same horse - a 6yr old.

Had one stop each day on the XC!

Not at Intro, it isn't!

It's too quick imho, I wouldn't compete even at Intro less than 4-5 days apart minimum.
A very bad example has been set this season by one of our so-called "top" riders of running the same horse twice in 1 weekend. It was pretty-much unheard-of before imho.

Yes, I think that's too much for any horse. At Intro level presumably the horse is young and/or inexperienced which counters the fact that it's 'only intro'. Even for an established, experienced horse I think that's too much. I'm always thinking of legs as well and IMO legs need a period of recovery after a XC run, quite apart from other physical aspects, then there's obviously the mental challenge too.

I just can't see why that would be necessary, but who knows?

Not sure was weriously thinking about doing it with gogs - both events within 90mins of home and think we may have a chance at the 2bd one!! The only reason for not doing it is its a bit unfair to expect dad to drive on fri, sat and sun - song on fri and gogs on the weekend!
