Does anyone elses' horse not like the radio

As I am enjoying the Chris Evans breakfast show thought Id buy a radio for the yard, what a waste of money. Che really seems to be upset by it. Have tried a few times now but whenever he hears the sound in the background he gets really jumpy. Hes not a spooky horse, stands quite happily in the yard with traffic going past, bird scarers in the background, helicopters flying over etc and never gets upset but the radio really seems to upset him. Anyone else ever come across this, I thought background noise was supposed to be soothing for them!!
PS Its not Chris Evans, he didnt like it when it was Terry Wogan either

Ours quite like it.
They listen to smooth fm, or magic fm, but their absolute favourite music is Bing Crosbys White Christmas Album. Last winter all the horses in the barn would go quiet and they'd doze off when we put it on. No accounting for taste I'm afraid!

I play the radio quite a lot. I usually have it on a pop music station, my OH puts on classic fm. They prefer the pop music!!

A good few years ago my girl had a to have 2 months box rest and was left all on her own while the others went out to play - I put classic FM on and she absolutely loved it, I'm not sure they enjoy modern music quite the same ie radio 1 etc (Gangster Rapping horses lol) You'd have thought Mr Evans would be fine tho - very odd. Is it really loud ? Perhaps she's just getting used to it ?
