turn into a scurfy monster when their coat is changing?! fox is starting to shed and along with it his skins gone awful dry, same thing happened when his winter coat started coming through last year.

just wondering if its common!

My late shetlnd and shire do, shire has sweet itch but whilst he was coming into winter coat his skin was awful all over a he lost a bit of condiion to, had the vet out to him (got used to with shetland he was in 30's and all his life bin the same) but vet prescribed deosect for skin!?! He didnt have mites/lice so obviously it didnt make a difference buthe was also older (17) and with previous owner always clipped to void the shaggy coat look so I dont no why but it cant be that uncommon! They both did have extremley thick winter coats and lived out if thats anything to do with it??

Yup mine too, was grooming him and noticed the dry less hairy bits and was horrified before I figured out what it was :o:rolleyes:

thanks for the replies! haha im dying to bath him but its still a bit cold up my way, as soon as its warm enough its the first thing thats getting done!

rhino he's already on micronized linseed, but could you recommend a brand of electrolytes, im not very familiar :o
