Does anyone ever feel like their horse really doesn't like them!

With my mare, no. She's a smiley soul. Ex racer gelding gives me the impression he's not best keen on me sometimes! I'm thick skinned, or just plain thick, so keep thinking I'll win him round.:o

My boys love me :D

However daughters pony.....was not too keen on me.

He used to run rings around her when she tried to catch him. I would watch the little git from the kitchen window.
I'd give it 5 minutes and then go marching out into the paddock - at that point he would stop running around and walk over to me with his head down and hooves in the air. "Arrest me now he would say...guilty as charged" (At least I'm sure that's what he would have said. :D

He would always look at me as if I was some kind of party pooper - just out to spoil his fun.

We loved him dearly though :)

I get the feeling my mare just tolerates me lol she is the most unaffectionate creature i've ever come accross and generally dislikes most things however wouldnt change her for the world :)

I know my loan horse likes me as I'm often the only person who can catch him (even his owners have struggled) but my old horse either did not like me or we just clashed badly bless her .

I dont think my daughters pony is over keen on me! I have to syringe meds down his throat regularly and give eye drops which he hates and is painful so i dont think its really personal! I do have to make appointments like the farrier etc after school though so she can be around to catch the monkey!

Why would he? I give him his hay in a trickle net, he only gets a handful of chaff, and sometimes... He has to go out with a bucket attached to his face so he can't fill it with grass ;)
Haha, only joking, he likes me really. My dads isn't that keen on me though! Lol

I really don't care what my horse thinks of me :-) As long as he does as he's asked things are going in the right direction.

I had a horse on loan that defo hated me! I couldn't catch him or do anything with him! all I ever done was feed him and try to change his rugs. I rode him once in about 8 months because it was too much hassle trying to catch him! he just had this look in his eye that said "get away evil woman"

I was glad to see the back of him when he left!

For a while I wasn't overly sure. He's kicked me twice, reared up and generally been a s0d but in the last few months we are starting to turn the corner. With the help of my instructor and my yard owner he and I have both learnt more about respect for each other. He now listens and shows affection to me and has really started to try harder during our dressage schooling (he will attempt a small nap or strop sometimes but I have his measure now). I in turn trust and understand him and reward him a lot more, just the whisper of "good boy" and he's back on my side now :)

Last week I was made up when during his monthly sports massage session his therapist (i know!) was watching us interact and commented " god that horse adores you" and then in our lesson last week my YO watched us and also commented on what an awesome partnership we were building and there was a marked improvement since last summer. Super proud of him at the moment or at least until the next diva strop lol.

Big Fuzzy has a imaginary T-shirt which says 'I luv me, who do you luv?' on it I think...... :D I am not hated, tho am sometimes loved - specially at feed times :D

Big Fuzzy loves Tiny Fuzzy

Tiny Fuzzy adores me :o and comes running whenever I go near her or her paddock, calls loudly when I arrive at yard & runs to gate.

Giant Fuzzy loves himself and anything else equine near him :) I think he likes his owner, but need to watch more to see if so :)
