Hi all,
I'm looking for a feed that will give my good doing cob all the vits and mins that she needs but not excess energy as she is ridden very little over winter.
I was just wondering what peoples experiences of good doer were and if anyone also used it as a hay replacer?
Thanks x

yep i feed it, i've heard that if you feed it in little amounts then it is pretty much the same to hi fi lite, but mine didnt really like hi fi lite, and good doer smalls nice ;)
i just feed a few handfuls in the eve so he doesnt kick up a fuss when the others get fed & to give him something to come in for :)

Thanks guys!
Ive just got myself so confused about feed!
In the product info i thought that the good doer had less sugar than the hi fi lite? Is that right?
I'm basically looking for the lowest energy feed that i can find that is either complete or i can add a vit and min supplement to.

It has 8% sugar which is higher than Hi Fi Lite and the new Molasses free Hi Fi, but has the lowest energy.

Fast Fibre is one of the lowest sugar/starch/energy feeds and is brilliant for mixing powders in!

I have fed it in the past to my good doer alongside a balancer, couldnt complain at all. Feeding alfa a lite now due to workload as good doer didnt give my horse any extra energy.

You'd have to feet a lot of good do-er for it to be a complete feed!

Hi-Fi molasses free has the least sugar I think, or you could feed something like fast fibre or speedibeet.

Dengies Natural Vitality Vit & min supplement works well for my fatty!

My new forest has this he gets a handful a day so a bag last about 6 months, I mix in his supplements. It has a lower DE than the Hi Fi lite as it is mainly straw but it has more molasses.

I feed it with fast fibre and a handful of high fibre nuts for my id x nearly 2yo as she doesnt need any more weight going on,its working so far.
I also prefer the smell of good doer to hifi lite
