Does anyone have a horse by Baron B?

I have known 5 by Baron B & I'm afraid I wouldn't have one :( It might be a massive coincidence but all of the horses I have known have all had a streak to them!!

They ALL were quite fiesty & had one hell of a buck in them, two of them would rear also.

4 of them were also very difficult to handle on the ground as well (All owned by totally different owners) 2 Mares & 3 geldings. One of the geldings had a party trick of suddenly rearing and boxing you whilst being led. Could be an angel for a while then suddenly go through a stage of this behaviour again.

Sorry I couldn't be more positive but there must be a link for them to all be like this.

Would love to know of any who were different

I've had a couple, both big chestnuts. One was quiet as a lamb and a bit thick, the other did have a nappy streak. Both moved well but weren't really jumpers.

My friend had one. He was stroppy, opinionated and difficult. He was very pretty and moved well, but he loved to bite and barge and generally be an a*hole.

My friend was a trainer at the time and she said his stock were all the same in that respect.

Friend used to have one. Bargey, nippy, very opinionated, rude, bad mannered. Not sure what it was like under saddle, horse went to a pro to be broken and never came back!

Not quite the answers i was expecting! I only ask as i have a gelding who is by Baron B and he is an absolute angel to handle and in the stable but very lazy to ride!! I wondered if they were all so laid back.LOL He has bucked, which was totally out of character, and turned out to be a bad back. When he does actually do some work he has really nice paces, but just getting him to do more than the bare minimum is hard work!! He is out of a TB mare so i would have expected him to be a bit more feisty. I guess i should be thankful for his temperament, the ones you have described sound like a complete nightmare!

Your lad sounds lovely, must take after his mother ;) enjoy him he sounds great xx

I ride & compete a gelding by Baron B - He is by no means a simple ride, but in the correct hands he is an angel, has huge amounts of talent & adores to work - Just like his Dad!

A bit like the little girl with the little curl....

I had a mare by Baron B with me all summer. I really liked her and had no problems with her whatsoever. However, a child went up to the gate and with no warning she lunged at the girl and bit her in the face. Mare went home at the end of the summer and next thing I heard she had been pts for being unmanageable. Her owners were experienced and capable so not sure what went wrong.

My gelding is much better in work, he had to have a few weeks off recently and had a personality transplant! Turned into a nightmare, now he's back in work, or rather his very laid back version of it, he has returned to being a dope on a rope!
