I just got a puppy and we're trying to get her to sleep in a crate in the bathroom. The only problem is that she howls all night and wakes the whole house up.
We are trying putting the cage in the living room during the day, then putting her in it randomly so she gets used to going in it at different times. It doesnt seem to make much difference as she still howls terribly.
I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for getting her to like the cage and sleep there of her own free will.
=/ Thanks for any tips you have.

I started off feeding Jack in his. He went in, had his food in there with the door closed then it was opened straight away and we gradually extended the amount of time the door was closed after he'd finished.

Also making sure he had a toy/bone (he loves his nylabones as opposed to toys) when he's shut in their during the day helps.

Make it her cave, put something over the top - making it really snug (I have a duvet in mine!) start off during the day, give her something nice in there - like a treat or a chew. Never disturb her if she falls asleep in there and don't lock her in there just yet. Leave the door open but make it lovely when she's in there and not so lovely when she's not!! My two go in their crate now by their own choice - usually around 10pm!

Thanks i'll try that, she seems to like snuggling under things do i think making it like a cave would be a good idea =).
