Does anyone on here have Tredstep long field boots, like Donatello or Da Vinci - and could give me an opinion on them?

I have always had Ariat boots as I love the feel of the footbed, and Tredstep gaiters as they fit my calf shape perfectly.

Does anyone have Tredstep long boots - do they match up to the Ariat feel in terms of support?
I'm shopping for a long field boot, FWIW don't really like Bromonts and I can't really put my finger on why! (i adore my Grasmeres for mucky yard work however!), so looking at the tredstep as an alternative?

Also, how much do the field boots drop - more than standard boots due to the structure at the front - should I buy a longer leg length than I measure? My pet hate is short long boots, if that makes sense! I like a dressage top and for it to be very high.

so many questions! Thanks for any help.

I have Bromonts, Da Vinci's and some De Niro's. The Da Vincis are my second favourites. Very comfy but just not quite as soft as the De Niro ones. My Ariats are my least favourite. I did find the Da Vinci's were a bit higher up my leg but they did drop fairly quickly.

I'll be watching this with interest as like you I team ariat short boots with tredstep gaiters and need new long boots as my cavalllos have dropped below what I feel is acceptable!

I had ariats for a long time until I wrecked them. For some silly reason given I am a 'normal' size, the bromonts were too long for me.

On a recommendation from a friend, I tried the Tredstep Donatello. I absolutely adore them. The leather is beautiful, they are incredibly comfortable, and the service I received from Tredstep in fitting me with their different calf sizes was second to none. They cost £225 which I thought was a really good price when you consider the competitors.

Cannot recommend them highly enough!
