Thinking of getting my guys a XL Tuffie.

How have you found yours?

How long have they lasted?

I have a old english sheepdog (40kg) Rottie x (40kg) lab x (25kg) and they will all sleep on it do you think a tuffie would be up for that abuse?
 
They are fab for putting in the back of the truck and being hosed down when back from muddy walks etc, but i have two pretty delinquent dalmatians, and it didnt last too long as a permanant bed, although not quite on the destruction scale of duvets/beanbags/leather sofa etc! They are quite hardwearing, sisters lab has their nest and its lasted really well, really cosy and comfy looking!

They are made just up the road from us and lots of gundog people round here swear by them!!:D
 
I have two; the biggest nest-type one and the biggest flat,rectangular one. The nest fitted 2 GSPs in together,nice amount of room(snuggled but not piled-on!) The rectangular one would fit 3 GSPs on comfortably. Have had them a couple of yrs nearly&both looking good/minimal wear but then the GSPs are not young,so no chewing etc. Bought a fleece cover for each but round one didn't last long(4or5mths?) so I think they should improve the quality/thickness of the fleece. Other than that,wish I'd bought them years ago,before I periodically was buying beds every year,that needed replacing cos fell apart or went all lumpy after being washed (&they were supposed to be washable!) or couldn't be washed &stabk to high heaven-yuk:( They are good quality-the nest bed in particular weighs a ton! Heavier than any dog bed I've ever had! When they look a bit scruffy,I scrub with fairy liquid&a dandy brush&then hose down & they dry out in no time when leant on Aga:)
 
Should be 'stank' not stabk! I also got them specifically to be able to wash&retain shape etc(see cross-section of their filling on website-that's why they're so heavy!) as our elderly GSP bitch has become a little,erm...'leaky'...in a lady way,bless her;) Medication helps but having Tuffies means washing the bed doesn't kill it:)
 
Um mine are brilliant, had them 4 years so far and Monty-Doberman-who-eats-sofa-cushions hasnt destroyed it. Excellent things, and they really can be hosed. Recommended, worth the money. (his is XL too and its hoooogge)
 
I don't see why not but all those 3 would not fit in the biggest nest at the same time(unless it's a sleep-pile-on!). They would probably all get on the biggest flat bed but depends how leggy/long they all are. U may need two really. Worth the money tho(even tho it's seems an awful lot at the time!) especially if they won't chew/rag it-it should last a long time:)
 
Yes! I was recommended them by someone on here. I have two labs - 1 is 9 years old and the other just 2. The 2 year old still has a large crate if I am out for a long time (more than a couple of hours, but that doesn't happen all that often) and overnight as she annoys the older girl, but is out for the rest of the time. I got the largest nest and it comfortably fits both of them, and I also got one of the flat ones for the crate. Both still immaculate after around 3 months (I think). Really pleased with them even though the initial investment was quite steep. But far better than the various combinations of vet bed/cushions I had before which got chewed, manky, smelly, lumpy after washing etc.
