Does anyone know if anyone breeds TB x WC's??

I'll avoid the toilet humour

Yes! Try googling Pentarran Stud or it might be welshsporthorse.co.uk (or .com) They have some lovely Welsh Cob stallions plus a TB, Street Music; he is the sire of Severnmiles's Archie, born last year out of Jenny.

My friend does. So far has produced 1 x prix st george dressage horse, 1 x intermediate event mare (mare only 15hh!) 1 x 2** event horse 50 points so nearly advanced) and baby horse just started dressage and got big write up in H & H this week!. All of these horses came out of a mare who was welsh cob x TB. Stallions varied from full TB's to Wb cross.

15hh intermediate mare now in foal to carry on the line

My friend has a lovely TBx WC- he's lovely- incredibly brave XC, clean SJ and competes affililated elementary Dressage (had lots of points) and will go further dressage. He's only got a smidge of WC in him though. Can't remember what else he is 1/2 TB 1/4 something 1/8 cob 1/8th something else

I'll ask her where he was bred.

I've got one and I love him, he's got a TB mum and Welsh Cob dad whom I both met. His breeder has bred a few, Tarquin's full brother is an eventer, and Tarquin is developing a talent for jumping and moves really well so hopefully we'll go that route too. Strangely Marquis was the first foal and is 16.2 whereas Tarquin is 15.2. His breeder is going to put Tarquin's mum to the stallion that sired that really good TB x WC eventer that's done really well this year. I think it is a lovely cross I've seen a few about but they vary. I had one in for schooling who was a right b*tch. Think the WC attitude had come out in a bad way in her! Thankfully Tarquin is just really sharp but not stroppy to ride!
