I have a 16'1 Chestnut Gelding Called Pablo...all I know about him is that he was brought over from Ireland & went to Duckhurst Farm in Kent around 2006, he was then apparently sold to a young lad who turned him out in a field & then went to a lady in Kent (where I got him from).. he has a white star & 2 white back socks..a scar on the corner of his mouth & a barbed wire scar round the from of one of his front legs..he's got a Weatherby's microchip but according to Weatherby's has never raced..so no racing name etc.. He's approximately 8/9 according to passport.. just wondered if anyone knows him or has any info on what he has done or was doing in Ireland.. Thanks

Spooky - I've just got my horse Boris and the only info I have on him was that his first registered owner was a Mr Jones at Duckhurst Farm, I've tried emailing Duckhurst Farm for some info but haven't had a reply - have you made contact with them? Good luck in finding out, I hope somebody can help you!

That's exatly the same as the first page in my passport, Mr Jones..yeh I have contacted Duckhurst & they said they remembered my boy because he was so well behaved..they said he was just one of the bunch of horses that they imported from Ireland...didn't have any other info on him & that's as far as I got..His passport doesn't even tell me his breed I thought he was TB cross as he's a bit heavier than your average skinny tb although he completely has a tb head, but I got in touch with Weatherby's and he has one of their microchips but was never registered with them.. have you found out anything with your boy??

I haven't found anything out! Boris' passport is just as (un)helpful (it's a Horse Agency passport if that makes any difference)- issued 2005 to Mr Jones, has his date of birth (1999), name, and that he's a brown gelding with breed unknown. It's got a vets sticker from Lancs on the front dated 2008, I suppose my next port of call could be them. I got him from a dealer who only said to me that he came from a dealer 'up North', but he said that Boris more than likely came from Ireland originally. He's such a lovely boy I'd love to know more about him but haven't got a clue how to find out!

Pablo has a pet-id passport again with a sticker on the front..(will have a look what the sticker says when I get home) What breed does he look like he is? Maybe get him scanned for a micro chip..if he has one it might give you all your answers..it so annoying isn't it..i don't even know if his name is really pablo..lol..

We may know both of your horses... My oh rides sue and daves ( Duckhurst ) jumping horses at shows, he also competes most of the new ones they bring over from ireland when they first get here... We won't know much about them but it's more than likely that Ben jumped them both ... If you put on a couple of pics I may remember them, also dates that they were there... Who was the boy that turned the horse out in the field or the lady In Kent?? X

Oh!! That would be great.. When I get home this evening I will post some photos on here.. thanks for getting in touch.. I don't know who the young lad was who bought him from Duckhurst neither does his PO, the PO bought him from the field off of this young lad.. It would be nice to know anything extra on him..

He could well be a full TB - irish TB's often have more bone and if you look at the chaser type TB's they often have a lot more bone and substance than a sprint bred TB.

I think a lot of horses have been brought over from Ireland the past 2 years. Mine an Irishx I bought a year ago, but with a english passport, wrote to person on passport, no reply, but he had a microchip that hadn't been activated. Mine has two broken front teeth(kick)? and in poor state when I bought him.

Seems to be most horses bought from dealers in Kent have brand new passports, with little or no previous history - my horse included. Strange heh

That is even more spooky, my friend had a horse called Pablo, like ginger bear's, AND a pony called Boris, how weird!
