Does anyone know of somebody who will spray fields in Hertfordshire?

Struggling to find someone to spray my fields. I have alot of ragwort (too much to pull) and being nearly 32 weeks pregnant decided spraying it now and again in the spring is a far better option.

We are North Herts. Any ideas?
 
Try local farmers, if they don't do it they will advise, but be very careful ....all ragwort to be removed and burnt, to be honest it should be done when the weeds are small.
You can't just spray and leave it, horses will have to be removed for a start. The ragwort is more likely to be eaten when it is dying as it is more sugary.
I think you need to get OH to start pulling his weight, he has a few weeks to kill before he needs to start on nappy changing.
I suggest you get him work on one area at a time and put all the stuff in to rubble bags, remove and burn, it will take a long time, but really you need to get rid of it.

I've tried a few but all very busy atm (understandably). I know it can't be sprayed and left and I do have arrangements to have the horses in another paddock for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately OH has already pulled bags and bags and with working full time and a long commute doesn't have a huge amount of time.
 
Ask around local farmers, they may be busy over the next few weeks if they have fields left to harvest but would give you a date and price... where abouts in North Herts are you?
 
Hiya, you probably know this but but be aware when the person spraying says it will be ok to put the horses back on that field after 2 weeks.... Yes the grass will be fine to eat providing it's rained but the rag takes so much longer to die and wither up, in spring it took mine nearly four months and I still had to go and collect the decaying rag and weeds in.
