I am trying to trace my old horse. I sold Tessa in 1992 to a lady in Brancepeth Co Durham. She is a 16hh thoroughbred mare. Dark bay with a star and no other white markings. She is registered with weatherbys as Tea Party. She had a scar on each knee form an injury she had before I knew her. She would be 20 this year. She was freezemarked DiamondXG4. I would love to know how she is, someone must recognise this description, if any one knows anything good or bad please contact me!!!!

Have you tried Weatherbys themselves? If you ring them ask if they have had any transfers of ownership for her; they won't tell you any addresses but they will forward any letters you write to the the last named owner on her file as long as you enclose an SAE (I did it for my yearling) It's 01933 440077

I have just emailed her picture (from the link below) and your description to my YM. We are in Druham,. She has been on the yard 'forever' and knows so many people and all of the yards in the area - so fingers crossed.

Do you know the name of the person you sold her to?

I've been racking my brains tring to remember her name, I think her first name was Alison. She used to live at the Castle Inn at the time.

Try to think of anything else you know about her because it will help with local people. Did she run the Castle Inn? was she the Landords daughter? .....

If you want I could put up flyers (with her photo from the link and your description) for you at some of the tack shops and yards. If you would like me to do that pm me a telephone number for so that I can add that on the bottom.

Also I'd suggest you put this up (with a photo) on another horse forum website www.newrider.com Its a very busy forum and there are lots of members from Durham and the surrounding areas who I'm sure will try to help. Also one of the members works in one of the main tack shops for Durham that I don't get in very often.
