Does anyone know when they stopped making Rice trailers and Sinclair trailers?

I just phoned a trailer dealer and everything appeared to be between 10 and 12 years old that I enquired about.

Now when my mum had an Ifor with a split front ramp that was at least 15 years ago so how can the Ifors he had for sale with the singular front ramp be only 10 to 12 years old.

Similarly in the era when we had our Ifor and were competing the old fashioned rices where not all new and spangly then so again not sure he is right with his old fashioned rice only being circa 12 years old.

Finally I went to look at a Sinclair ambassador yesterday and didn't buy it because interior very rusty the lady said it was about 30 years old but he has one for sale for £1600 that he says is 12 years old - Now I was under the impression Sinclair stopped making trailers about 20 years ago.

Can someone enlighten me please ?

Can anyone else help date the Ifor trailers - when did the singular front ramp become a ramp and top door ?

When did rice become Richardson ?

It would be really helpful to know as buying a secondhand trailer appears to be a mine field.

Many thanks

They haven't stopped making Rice trailers. Rice were bought by Richardson trailers in Shipton-by-Beningbrough near York but the Rice trailers are still produced by Richardsons.
