I'm debating doing the clear round jumping show next Sunday in my "new" off-side side saddle for a laugh (going down to the field in a bit to practice as I haven't jumped in it yet!) but my habit is for a normal nearside saddle.

Does anyone know where I can buy an off-side apron from? Does anyone have one at the back of their closets they want to part with? I don't care what color it is as long as it has a 30" waist or larger (or smaller if there is room that I can move the buttons WAY over to make it bigger). Dark colors like black or blue preferred but beggars can't be choosers! I can't sew for the life of me so making my own is out of the question.

I emailed the usual side saddle websites but am just waiting to hear back.

Have you tried contacting Roger Philpot, he used to always have a vast array of random sidesaddle items. I got my bowler and habit from him, it's proper vintage, Bernard Wetherall but so old it says 'by appointment to the King'. I only paid £50 for it.

Do you know what? That is a great idea!! Hadn't thought of that. Usually you wouldn't be able to as some of the aprons are partially lined or have old lining which has faded over the years but mine is a new habit and is completely lined with black cotton. It won't match perfectly with my habit jacket as it's black wool but it's only for my local riding club's clear round show. I'll have to sew buttons onto the lining as the buttons are on the wrong side but that is easy enough to do.
