Does anyone know where to get a 'let down stirrup'??

I've searched high and low for a let down stirrup all I've found is one for £90!!!!

Im doing gates next month and I wont be able to get on!!

I think I got mine on Robinsons website I think, but wouldn't recommend one - the problem I had was that once my mounting foot was lower yes I could get it in the stirrup but then my whole body was too low to get my other leg over the back of the saddle! Now I just get on from the gate - good luck!

Get a saddler to make you one. That is what I did and everyone else from my hunt. There is a saddler on here that will do them I think.

I have this problem so we have taught my horse to stand by a gate or similar! took most of the summer but it works a treat.

I had one of those and it was great. Unfortunately there were a few problems attached with it. Firstly the horse I had then had the most enormous buck and on a couple of occasion said horse bucked so hard that the let down stirrup unhooked itself! Secondly I had my tack stolen and when it came to insurance replacement my saddler would not make me another one due to Health and Safety regs!
