Does anyone on here do paintings or something similar of horses?

For christmas my sister said she was goign to get a picture of me and Koko blown up and put onto canvas for my bedroom wall but I thought that maybe a pastel of him would be nicer as I don't want my face messing up the pictures.

How much would you charge and what are the best type of picture? A head shot or a full body shot or an action shot? I have about a million of him so won't find it hard getting a picture

Ohh didn't think of that I'll go and have a look now, I'm a bit rubbish at this art stuff though so not sure what makes a good artist

Art is completely subjective, so you don't need to know anything about it, apart from what you like yourself!

If you particularly like someone's style, then go for them!

Lots of people on here do them....
However, no artist will be able to make your mind up for you as to what YOU want! People always seem to think I will know what is best, but what YOU want is best, surely!? It does confuse me a little Some people like portraits, some people like just a close up, or maybe something with a bit more character so not just a standard head shot, it really can vary!

Jenny Deakin in Spain loves appaloosas and has some herself - some of which she took to Spain from England. She paints animals and obviously spotties, I am sure she would be willing to help you with this. Google Jenny Deakin Animal Artist I am sure you will find her. She is in Spain but I know she has lots of contacts in the UK and occasionally puts things on this forum (usually in the 'breeding' section). Best wishes to you after your sad loss.
