Considering trying this bit on my pony, he's a bit inclined to lean and grab, sometimes doesnt stop as quickly as I would like. He doesnt run off, just doesnt come back politely. The blurb sounds as if it will help, but not sure whether I would be better off using the curb strap or not. I know I can ask NS, just wondered if anyone on here has experience of this bit?

My NS Universal has a Tranz mouthpiece but I find that my very strong made can run through it without the curb strap. Unfortunately, we has such a big head that the NS curb is too short, so I use a cat collar. It stops the bit rotatingin the mouth.

Not the waterford, but have used the curb strap with a universal, works really well.

I have used a back strap on a few different bits that might not usually have a curb when I haven't wanted to use a stronger bit.

Me! I use a curb strap on my NS waterford universal for my boy as we needed a lot more brakes for hunting (does literally everything else in a cavesson and snaffle lol) And fingers crossed it seems to be working really well for him.

He still leans and ignores me when he gets too tired and overwhelmed towards the end of the day (but that's because he's still young and will hopefully improve with time and age/experience) but the rest of the time has really helped, we have pretty good brakes when needed and he doesn't seem to object to it too much. I use a leather spur strap instead of the NS curb strap because they're cheaper, easier to get hold of and very adjustable. I'd say it's definitely worth a try!
