I have to take my saddle home now, which means a lot of lugging about. My saddle is an 18" Albion gp, so it's big, heavy and expensive. I have it's fleece cover, but this tends to slip off during transporting it in my car. I dont want the saddle scratched or dropped, so I thought I'd buy a nice saddle carry bag.

The John Whitaker saddle carry bag has arrived this morning, but my saddle is much too large and there is no way my saddle will fit. These bags all seem to be advertised as one size.

I ride every day, sometimes twice a day if turnout's restricted due to weather, so I want a bag that isn't fiddly and time consuming to use.

What a pain! Anyone have any suggestions?

I have an Ariat which I can get my 17.5 Passier Dressage in

I got mine from a shop on ebay for £12, it is like a bag so all of the saddle is covered and it has a zip fastening. it comes with a shoulder strap which make carrying it and other things easier!! mine is 17.5 and there is still room. I did email the sell to make sure.

I've tried various saddle bags and find them more hassle than there worth, and more awkward to carry!

Give me a saddle cover any day, but the only saddle bags I'll be carrying are the ones around my ass lol
