my farrier has suggested leaving shoes off my boy for 6 weeks or so to grown some horn. but he feels his feet and i won't be able to excerise him.
what do people think to riding with these boots, I don't know anyone who has used them and was wondering how horses react to wearing them

my new farrier recommended boa boots when i asked him about this subject, he says you get what you pay for and they work/stay on best in his opinion

there are some on sale at equestrian clearance warehouse ive been looking at for myself

Have been using Boa boots for about 5 months now on his hinds, and have had no problems, no twisting and the pony dosnt even notice he has them on, even for the first time. Had some trouble changing the laces, but once done it is esay for the next time, they are a bit fiddly. The big plus is they are so wasy to put on.

what size feet has your horse? did you get a good fit?

farrier recommended i get a close fitting pair and measured hooves for me, 5inch by 5 and a half inch so i dont know what that is in boa boot

Here is a link t the site that has the info.... I printed off the size chart and how o measure, gave it to my farrier who is very kind and asked him what the best fit was, have a good read, some people dont rate them and prefer the old mac's, but i speak as I find and they have neen great,

if the link dosnt work let me know

If you do get them, get some spare dust covers and laces, nothing worse than a lace snapping and not being able to ridse untill you get a replacement.

I got mine form a local tack shop
