Red has sweet itch. I am currently forming my plan of attack for this summer! He wears a sweet itch rug March- Oct but was wondering if anyone had any feedback about this stuff? If the info I've read is true, it's some sort of wonder juice!

Yes just bought some more, it is excellent stuff, also you can get the shampoo and wash him him once over and then rug him and put the oil on all the other exposed bits, willy and face and legs etc.

I've heard this too but never used it. My highland gets SI on his neck only and last year I combatted it by starting him on Naf D-itch in March and making sure he was covered in Nettex Itch Stop Slave and Tritek fly spray before venturing out. Went the whole summer last year without his rug, which we both hated anyway.

Great :) May I ask where you get it from? It seems to be all over the internet but I don't know any of the websites so don't know who to trust! (if that makes sense..?

Oh!! One of my next questions was going to be about Naf's D-Itch! Didn't want to spend the money if it doesn't work. I love the Nettex stuff, smells so good! The stick is great for around the face as well :)

Thank you both x

Yep I use it from pro equine online it stinks use gloves to apply a d just wipe around eyes withers belly and dock :)

Look on forage plus website for sweetitch sup would t touch naff

Yes, I use it for everything these days! I tried it for possible SI at the end of the season, my little mare got eaten alive after getting too hot and sweaty in her winter coat with mild weather, came up in hives and was rubbing the base of her mane. Smothered her in this and no more bites, seemed to soothe the itching, and healed up the raw areas in no time. It does stink but you get used to it! It worked well for me by pouring it into the base of the mane and rubbing in well, and over the following day or so her body heat melted it more and it drifted into her coat quite evenly. You can dilute it if you want though, I put some in pig oil to wipe over her whole body, that worked well. I buy mine from ebay, I think it is Mother Nature or something similar.

I bought some from ebay, think it was £15 inc postage for a huge bottle.I used it to treat pin worm and it has really helped.A word of warning though, although it is an oil,it is solid until warmed up.I melted some and mixed it with vaseline to apply which was easier and I intend to use it for flies in the summer.

I've been looking into getting some for pin worm...do you apply it direct to the bottom? Or is it more suitable for the sore, rubbed patches? Or both?!! I'm excited to try it as have heard good things...

^ both, you can wipe it over the areas that are sore and it will soothe and help heal, and then wipe it all around the bottom and just inside the anus so that the eggs can't stick and the worms absorb it which prevents them from breeding.

I buy it from eBay and use for flies in the summer. I've mixed it with shampoo and also used it in warm water to just pour on him if not having a bath. You can see the flies go towards him and then change their minds! I recommended it to a fellow livery who's horse has been having problems with mites but not sure if she's used it yet.

When you mixed it with vasaline, did you melt the vasaline too? My neem keeps solidifying so I put the bottle in a bucket of warm water when I want to apply it, just wondering of there's any easier way of doing it?

Really late reply, I know! But for those of you who buy from eBay, what sellers do you use? There are so many I don't even know where to begin!

Or for those who don't, what other wesbites? Tried the Pro Equine one but couldn't find it? x
