We normally use Bedmax and I have been very pleased with it until recently. However, we had one load that was wet and the last load seems to be very dusty (like a dust storm when a new bale is put in / horse rolls).

We used to use paper bedding and I have decided to give it another try. We stoppeed using it becuase the supplier was unreliable.

My load of 50 bales arrived today. I disinfected the stables out (as they are on rubber mats) and have put down new paper beds. I can't beleive how nice and soft and warm they are. Even when they settled, the bed is still soft. (I could curl up in there myself on a cold winter day!)

Just wondering what experiences other peple have of paper bedding.

I use paper bedding and really like it. I find it very similar to shavings to muck out and manage. We use bales by Keltonstone which are very good, would definately recommend it.

i have used paper bedding before when i was stabled at a competition yard in the new forest - lovely stuff although not on a windy day it ends up everywhere! Always seemed very clean and warm though, would use it again with a horse that needed it although luckily my two are ok with straw.
