Does anyone use stable mirrors for nervous travellers?

Our new boy is great to load and travels very quietly but he becomes unsettled if he is left alone in the lorry. Was wondering if a stable mirror would help and if so where to fit it. Our box is a 3 horse lorry that is stalled in a herringbone fashion.
Thanks

we were wondering exactly the same. my sisters horse is an attention seeker, and if you leave him in the trailer on his own he stamps and shouts and tries to dig his way out, unless there's someone (human or horse) in with him. we usually have to take a deck chair with us and leave Dad and Tom reading the paper just to keep tom quiet!

We put one in our trailer to try to calm down one of mine who used to flip out in the trailer. TBH I think it worked a bit, but not enough on the horse we needed it for! My other 2 (good travellers) always neighed to "the other horse" whenever they got in which was amusing! We took it down after a while because in our trailer it was fitted to the front top door bit so that the reflection of car lights at night would blind the horses...!

It has definitely helped Sovereign, he was so bad his feet were breaking up because he was bucking and kicking so much, he was not nervous stressed or anything like that, since the mirror went in he has been much better, he still bounces about a bit but not to the extent that he is going to trash his feet or the trailer!

We put one in our lorry, but it is a two horse, forward-facing and so was easy to fit. Not that Ella is a nervous traveller, but she does call to herself now and then and rather admires herself in the mirror

(She is now sound BTW after her joint injections and is very well)
I have friends who have them in trailers and they swear by them. Not sure where you would fit a mirror with horses facing herringbone.
We bought our mirror from ebay.

I put three large mirrors in my trailer and at best he admires himself when stationary but at worst they've made no difference really. Originally they were great on the first trip out. Now I only ever catch him looking in them when I open the top door and ramp- he stands there looking at the pretty boy for a minute or two and then carries on as normal. When I load him he is still as impatient to get away as he always has been

I have one in the pony's stable from when she was on box rest. Used to climb the walls of her stable, and I did find that it made a marked difference! Now she licks it....was very confused when clipped though! Wondered where the new horsey had come from!
