Looking for a good set of cordless clippers Lister or heiniger are my preference need to be able to cope with welsh cob my tb would prefer something quiet.

A friend of mine has sold her horse and has some Moser Avalon ones for sale, used only two or three times, I have these for clipping my IDxTB and they're great, battery lasts ages ! PM me if you're interested.
 
Yes interested but reading literature wasnt sure if they were up to hairy cob .Let me know what price you are thinking of.

I used the Moser Avalon's and their standard Medium blade. Full clip, including legs in one charge.
 
Yup they do and they are the quiestest of the lot with the lowest vibration in the clipper head.

You can't run them along a thick coat, like sheep shears, in the way you can with some of the very gutsy mains ones. I have to do a double pass over her croup as she gets quite greasy there (even though I bath before clipping and groom to remove grease before clipping). The legs you have to do steadily too, if your horse is coarse haired. I go with the hair first and then against growth to finish off.

My horse was a total clipper phobe before I got the Avalon's. I have some Premier 3000c mains clippers and she won't let them anywhere near her.
