These new types of reins, that have hoops in them so your horse cant pull the reins out of your hands? They are almost like dog lead handles. A lady at the yard is looking for some, so i promised i would ask on the forum for her. I dont know what they are called though, but she thinks they are around £60. Does anyone know what i mean? And if you do where can you get them from? They are supposed to encourage an even contact so i have been told.

Equiport make the originals but you need to be a very balanced rider and have very quiet hands if your going to use them in the ring. at home its easier to just let go. there is an american product that she could look at called rein-bows. they are superb, pretty cheap and they shipped to ireland so they would ship to uk too. they have an emergency quick release mechanism and are really good for improving your hands in general as well as helping with snatchy horses.
