Have a lorry like this:

http://www.horsemovers.co.uk/3-5-tonne-horsebox-for-self-drive.html

With the same doors for loading etc?

I need to know whether my 18h beastie will fit through the door!! The headroom in it is the same size as my lorry so once hes in that wont be a problem, but the man who owns it said hes not sure he will fit up the ramp

Hes really easy to load, just wanders up the ramp behind me so its not like he would have his head up and being silly or anything.

Anyways, if anyone can help, thats much appreciated! Thank You!

I have a 3.5tone which we coverter ourselves and that would fit an 18hh in..but I think your more on about that door that opens up and over, right??

If he will happily amble up the ramp with a low head then it prob wouldnt be a prob but obviously got the risk of him putting his head up and smacking it...

Yes, the headroom inside is fine like is said its the same as our lorry, im just worried about squeezing him in the door

A going to drive down and have a look at it i think before i finalise the booking! Ive got a poll guard tho so id put that on to load him in.

Eric is 18hh and while he is great to load the last time we took him out he went in a lorry that althoug had plenty of room inside but the height was not great for loading and he seemed to get quite worried about it - he went up fine after a few goes and didn't bash his head at all but just something to consider as to whether you think Archie might be bothered by it as it's the first time Eric had ever been funny about loading x

Thank you for that hun

Im going to chat to YO tonight and see if she knows anyone i can hire from aswell as im having real problems finding anywhere. This is the only company ive found that has a box avaliable and is near me on the dates i need.

I have one like that and while the headroom inside is brilliant, it can be a bit close when loading. Not sure I'd be happy loading a 18hh horse into mine.
