Every day we are currently digging up bits of ragwort out of our ponies field. It seems to just spring up in no time.

However, my horses field, which is the next field, is completely clear of ragwort but has loads of clover? Very strange!!

Does anyone know if clover keeps ragwort down?

Perhaps the sward formed by the clover is so dense early on in the growing season that the ragwort seedlings can't compete?

Thats interesting as my horse is in a field with loads of clover. I have found only 2 ragworts and they werent in the clovery bits.

No. We don't get much ragwort, but it has grown through areas of very thick clover.
