Does easibed offer good support?

My yard is currently in the middle of switching form shavings to easibed. I was wondering if anyone has any info as to whether it gives good support to legs for my show horses. We have rubber matting already down in the boxes, but I dont like them standing for long periods of time on it unless the bedding is pulled right forward to the door. If anyone can shed any light than would be great.

I use easibed and I love it. I would say it offers excellent support. It is one of the bedding materials that my Equine Podiatrist recommends, so that implies it offers support to barefoot horses and by implication to legs.

Your horses will actually get wonderful support from the rubber matting itself.

I show as well and one other thing I like about it that its so compact it doesnt part like some times shavings would if not deep litter so I reckon would avoid capped hocks

I don't like it. Have used it in banks etc before and starting off a new shavings bed to mix and make it heavier, but I hate total easibed beds - they are so hard!

Prefer shavings.

eeeww dont like easibed... kitty tried it... it gets everywhere, can make a horses while legs quite disgusting, is quite dusty and if you dont take every last bit of wet out, it goes quite solid. so i suppose it would provide support after a while. But personally we dont like it.

think it great as long as it quite thick cant say had any of the problmes mentioed above. would have full bed of it but its soo expensive now mix it with shavings not quite so nice but cheaper!

Thanks! Swapped to it today, seems to be alright as long as its deep but time will tell! Seaview, in response to your question I used to show Welsh sec D's but now have a 4 yr old coloured andalucian x warmblood, hopefully get him out this season
