Have had Apple on frisky mare for about two weeks now, i know its still early days but it doesn't seem to have made any difference yet! (and i'm getting desperate!)... the vet from global herbs reckoned i should see a difference within 1-2 weeks of being on it. I just wondered if it had worked for anyone on here?-and whether it was the Frisky mare or Frisky mare plus?
I guess at the moment its difficult to judge as can't ride due to everything being frozen but she is as grumpy as hell and still winking at every gelding in sight!

Next stop Regumate or possibly the marble insertion, will give this a few weeks to see if it works!

I had my extremely hormonal section A on it and it worked pretty quickly - I used the frisky mare plus - I recommended it to a friend and she has recently put her mare on it, she reduced feed at same time so hard to tell which had most effect but she has improved a lot in a couple of weeks.

does it smell?? (random lol) global herbs stuff tends to reak! i have the windgall supplement and stop using it cause i couldnt stand the smell lol.

You are right, their supplements do tend to stink but I have never had any problems getting a horse to eat them

Your mare may need something stronger like Regumate. I had good results with Frisky Mare. I stopped it in November and my mare has been ok since then. I actually didnt immediately notice a big difference until the first tub ran out and then I realised how it had helped with the grumpiness in the stable, the tail swishing and gnashing when being tacked up - wanting to 'eat' other horses that came near her and all this became noticable within a week of stopping it. So I went out and bought further tubs until November and she was a happy girl and therefore so was I. It did stink but my mare didnt seem to notice lol

frisky mare worked almost instantaneously on my mare - and the windgall stuff (despite curried eggs smell) stops the geldings legs swelling up overnight. Maybe try the frisky mare plus - or speak to vet again - maybe shes got a cyst or something?
