does little princes weight ok hes 11month old and was all bone last yr hes slowly put it on and is coming on nicely hes about 12.2hh at the min on adlib hay and a feed of alpha sugar beet and a handfull of mix every day would you say he could do with a bit more weight on him or is starting to get there now

It's really difficult to tell from the photos, especially as he has such a good coat on him! I'd suggest getting hold of a condition score chart (I'm sure someone here will be able to put up a link to one) and have a good hands-on check through his fluff to see how he rates.
 
I don't like my youngsters to carry too much condition as I think it is detrimental to their long term health/soundness.

Your chap does not look underweight to me although it is difficult to tell through all the hair.

I feed mind ad-lib hay, Alfa-A and a good stud nut.
 
cheers i might try him on a stud mix because he was so poor last yr his stomache wasnt up to much i have built him up gradually to what hes on now he didnt even know what hay was when he come any recomendations for good stud mix and should i replace it for the mix hes on now

As the others say it's hard to see from the pic but i wouldn't say he looks too thin for 11 months, you certainly don't him too fat as it is very dangerous in a youngster. Have a look at the Dengie website and call there feed line. The Alfa A is good but would keep clear of mixes, have a look at the simple system and natural/fubre feeding posts that have been on here the last coupld of days.

Also have a look at the below link, it is my 2 ponies that i rescued back in 2006. I have sold the black one now but still have the chestnut, he's 12.2 now too and just on 1 scoop of HIFI and broad spec supplement plus hay obviously, lives out 24/7 and does brilliantly. I would say you prob want something like Alfa A and some kind of youngstock suppliment so you are getting the calcium phosphate ratio right for such a young hores, very important, and maybe Alfa A Oil if you think he need more energy for codition (it's kg to kg the same energy as coditioning feeds but just fibre cereal/sugar etc) but only until he puts the weight on or he'll put too much on, But really would phone dengie or someone for some professional advise.

TBH I'd say he looks fine on what he's on now and I wouldn't change a thing! IMO horses (including youngsters) are meant to come out of winter looking a little on the lean side and given his type I would be especially weary of trying to fatten him up given the risk of Laminitis...
