DOES IT MATTER WHAT SIDE YOU TRAVEL IN A 3.5T HORSEBOX?

I'm downsizing from a 7.5t to a 3.5t horsebox as only travel 1 horse. Is it same rules as a trailer on what side I travel horse (left)? I'd prefer right as easier to load/unload stand at shows etc. Thinking suspension etc is more sturdy so wouldn't matter but just wanted to check.....

You would normally put one horse on the right hand side of a trailer (if you were stood facing the back of it), and I would follow the same rule when travelling a single horse in a 3.5t too.

I don't think it matters - a trailer has more sway and as has a separate axle to the towing veichle, imagine that is when it is more important.

I have a 3.5 t and actually travel mine without the partition at all to allow more freedom of movement. It also gives me more space to tack up etc, and horse loves it!

Depends on the wagon. Normally on the right (as viewed from the back) but with the equitrek boxes, because the ramp which is heavy is on the right you load a single horse onto the left side. So I've been told anyway.

I think you travel like this to help offset the effect of the road camber on the box - some cambers on rural roads are quite severe!
