After reading a few previous posts thinking about feeding hay from the floor! I use smalled holed haynets as my pony is a greedy lil monster so want it to last him as long as possiable but does it really make any difference??

yes it slows my boy down
but the evil person I am sometimes puts his small holed haynet inside another small holed haynet!!

Yep, I usually give mine a couple of sections in hay bar and also give a small haynet to stop her ganneting it all in one go...

Gosh yes, especially if you double net a small holed net like I do for my greedy lad.

Hay fed on the floor just gets all over the floor/bed and makes a mess and only lasts a short while. A horse needs a constant supply of fibre moving through its guts, and a small holed hay net mimicks a horse grazing perfectly.
