Or do they just go out and be left? I am thinking about having my horses away from where I work but it would mean once they are out there is no one keeping an eye on them. There is a house on site but they would be nothing to do with the yard. Working where I keep my horses mean I am on hand to make sure they are ok whilst out during the day. So , are yours just left to get on with it and do you worry about it?

As long as you check them twice a day then should be ok. Mine are left 3 days a week while I am at work although I have a couple of neighbours who would notice anything seriously wrong and call me.

Ours are done twice a day, my mum puts then out before work, then I go back up about 2ish to muck them all out & bring in. We are on a big yard so there is normaly someone there throughout the day.

Nope, Everyone is at either work or college. The Horses are seen to at 6am, YO leaves at about 7.30am. The next time they are checked it is usually around 3 pm. There is a house there though, they are not Horsey, but have our numbers in case of an emergancy.

Ours are done twice a day, in between they are left to themselves. They are on a livery yard with others, though most seem to exist in a bubble so I don't know if anyone would actually call us/do anything should there be a problem! I hope so as I keep an eye out for other horses when ever I'm at the yard. They have such a wide range of ways they like to hurt themselves that I like to keep my eyes open!!

I don't work, but do live a 20 minuet drive from where mine are. YO checks them twice a day and is at home most of the time. Myself or another owner (we share feeding duties to save fuel) visit once a day to feed.

Mine is checked morning and evening but there is a house next to the field belonging to a chap who works shifts and when he's not at work he's outside doing stuff so around quite a bit when I'm not. He has my phone numbers in case of emergency.

Nope, If I am at work then generally there is no one keeping an eye on the horse. It's kept at home & all my family work & I doubt my next door neighbours would notice if anything was wrong with it if they were around.

She gets checked twice a day in the morning at ~7.30-8.30 & then again in the evening some point after 6 when my dad or I put her hay out. So she's left to her own devices for almost 12 hours a couple of days a week but I never worry about it.

not really. theres a house on site but they dont have anything to do with the yard but the yo lives on site too, however she works a lot, and you cant see all the fields from the yard anyway. there is 1 or 2 people who spend a lot of time there, but everyone goes up twice a day to turn out/bring in etc

nope! even though mine are on a farm with lots of other liveries around we all have separate fields and mine are completely surrounded by trees and hedges so you can't see them unless you go right in. I check them twice a day.

Sorry on phone I meant to add I cannot provide them with more frequent checks and so have got used to that being the norm. You must have to leave them overnight though so perhaps you can get used to that the idea by thinking of it the same way. It would be great to provide 24 hour security but not realistic for most

Ours are turned out at 7.30am, checked at 12 by my father whilst walking the dogs (although he has missed lots of things in the past so I don't entirely trust this!). Then they come in whenever we get home, usually between 4 and 6pm.

Our non-horsey neighbours are great, they all have my number and have always called if they think something is up. Luckily most people around here know where we live and which horses are ours, so if they can't get hold of me they pop in to mums work at the top of the road! For an assumed set up, it works very nicely.

Nope, my two go out at 6:30am, I work 7:15am-6pm then I bring them back in at 6:30pm so they are out 12 hours all day come rain or shine!
There are another two ladies who I share the yard with and they are up throughout the day (at more sociable hours) doing their's so they would let me know if they were lying on their backs with their legs in the air!

Nope. When im at work or we're out all day they are just left in the field all day.

I really don't see why someone needs to keep an eye on them? When they are out overnight I wouldn't get up in the middle of the night to go and check they are ok...
