Although I have learnt a huge amount from the forum, it has definitely made me question my own riding many times and occasionally left me feeling as though I should give it all up as sometimes I feel like I'm never going to be the sort of rider a horse deserves.
A lot if this boils down to my own lack of confidence so I don't blame it on the forum itself, but it has made me question everything I do around horses and sometimes makes me doubt whether I'm doing the right thing. It has also made me measure the time it has taken me to learn things against other people and it's always a little depressing as I haven't achieved nearly so much as others in the time I've been riding.
Having said all that, I wouldn't be without it, it's a brilliant resource and has made me realise there are many ways of doing things and I don't have to follow a rigid template, I can pick and choose what suits me and the horse.
