Have a look at;

Anything seems possible in horsey genetics...aside from pink, maybe.

Now you have thrown down the gauntlet, bet someone comes up with a pink one from somewhere!

Talking of colours, since when did palominos start looking like liver chestnuts? Gah!

Apparently, if the horse has a dorsal stripe and perhaps stripes on it's legs then it IS a dun

I see lots of what look like washed out chestnuts here described as dun.

Isn't Inky technically a bay? I think that's what Stinkbomb said once.

Hmm, tricky that one, think it's a very odd colour and maybe it has an eel stripe? Pics aren't exactly brill. We have two duns though although they don't conform to the standard colour. Mine is similar to that Paralympic dressage horse in looks and markings (sadly not movement)

My sister's is Andalusian x TB and is a v odd colour - where ever we go people ask what he is as he appears grey roan but then sort of browny and he has an eels stripe down his back! We have decided he's a grey dun!

Think in the ad they'd be safer saying it's brown though!

He had dun bits - but so does my mare and I still call her a bay...

If someone is going to breed a pink horse can they do a rainbow one at the same time?

It could be a dun - can't really tell from those photos. We are fairly hot on all sorts of duns over here and many of the different colours of duns are specifically mentioned with the breed societies when you register your foals.

My husband used to have a choc dun who looked a bit similar to that in the summer but went several shades paler in the winter til you clipped him. Hard to tell from those pics though!!

Knowing the breed (used to have one) it is unusual for them to be that dark if he is a dun and the pics lying.

They tend to be bright dun (buckskin) with black points.
