I went to view a horse today who i have completley fallen in love with, he is a coloured cob x thoroughbred, 2yr old who is exceptionally underweight and looking very sorry for himself but i can see through all that that given time to mature, and put weight on he will be a cracking little horse, he has a lovely head and the kindest eye and absolutley adored my kids and was very gentle. He is standing at around or just under 14h and just turned 2 so i am hoping he should make around 15.2????
However he has a noticeable lump just infront of the area where his willy comes out, not actually on the sheath but just infront, he is gelded but i am worried what the lump could be. A few friends have said it could be a hernia or possibly a cancerous lump> Has anyone experienced anything like this before? It is fairly large, like a handful size and a firm squidgy, its not bony at all. He is only advertised at £400 and is passported, microchipped and wormed and has the potential to be a lovely horse if this lump isnt anything worrying, what would you do?
